AUM Gallery is proud to feature ceramic artist and Denver native, Penney Bidwell.

Her characters are powerfully expressive and emotional and often influenced by old photographs from her family’s years working in and around carnivals.

To create the rich color and texture of these characters she hand-builds them from terracotta clay and then combines slips, stains, and glazes applied in layers, accompanied by multiple firings.
