One of the things we love is when a customer lets us be completely creative and build a new frame from a drawing. Talk about true custom framing – it doesn’t get any more unique than a frame built just for you.
A customer brought in a print she’d purchased online from the Center for Creative Works in PA. According to their website, (check it out here), The Center for Creative Works is a unique work environment with a goal of developing creative work potential and cultural identity for people with intellectual disabilities. She wanted us to cut loose on the piece, even though it was an inexpensive print, because it spoke to her and she wanted to create a piece that people would ask about so she could tell them about the Center. So, we created a primitive carve with elements from the art, gilded it with silver leaf, and hand-painted the “brickwork”. She absolutely loved it. What do you think?
