Using an accent color as a layer/element of the frame design allows striking colors to be used without overpowering the artwork. Our frame designers are well versed in color usage/theory and balancing those colors to ensure attention is not diverted from artwork. In this design a cherry red moulding was used to line the artwork, accentuating the reds throughout the piece. This painting has dark sections that could potentially get lost if the frame design was equally subdued. Inclusion of the red moulding ensures viewers see all aspects of the artwork on display.
